Geometric family
bathroom, London.

A compact family bathroom in a London period property, refurbished end-to-end in three weeks. A 3D cube-pattern wall tile in coral, navy and white clads the feature wall behind the bath and the WC. A black-and-white encaustic-style floor runs across the entire room. A striped tile splashback picks up the rhythm behind the vanity. Dusty pink walls, a black-framed shower screen, a dark Shaker vanity with a black matt tap, and beneath all of it a Schluter Ditra-Heat electric underfloor heating system.

Compact in footprint,
master-spec in build.

A compact family bathroom in a London period property, delivered end-to-end on a three-week programme. The brief asked for a confident geometric palette in a small footprint, with the same engineering standard as a master suite. Three pattern languages share the room without competing: a 3D cube-pattern feature wall behind the bath and WC, a black-and-white encaustic-style geometric floor, and a vertically-set striped tile splashback behind the vanity. Dusty pink walls hold the composition together; a black-framed shower screen, a dark Shaker vanity with black matt tap, and a black-framed wall-mounted mirror cabinet sharpen the line.

Beneath the visible finish, the build runs to the same specification as our larger bathroom projects. Full-room tanking to BS 8000-11. A Schluter Ditra-Heat electric underfloor heating system at 150 watts per square metre, signed off by a Part P certified electrician with a single bathroom certificate covering UFH, lighting, towel rail, extract and thermostat. A concealed thermostatic shower valve. Copper first-fix plumbing throughout, pressure-tested before close-up. Every concealed layer photographed and included in the handover pack. The room came back as a daily-use bathroom that performs and reads well above its footprint.

See this project documented stage‑by‑stage — from strip-out to finish.

Nine photographs through the build. Seven stages. Schluter Ditra-Heat electric UFH on a suspended timber floor. Three tile patterns in a single small room, set out before the first bag of adhesive.
